A series of articulate, flowing lines, wrapped together in a stealthy, push-button package. This is Nate Clark's DC Series, a knife design by Matt Diskin (Hence the "DC Knives" mark on the inside spine, which stands for "Diskin / Clark.") Every knife in the DC series is unique being that each is customizable at the owners request. Options include file work, choice of anodization colors and more.
This model has been given a sky blue anodized titanium shell, housing a powerful, sping-loaded dual automatic system with a push button locking mechanism. The mirror finished, razor sharp ATS-34 blade is dagger style with a false top edge.
The knife may be deployed manually, or by the means of a button which adds a beautiful touch of style to the knife. The button is anodized deep blue, mirrorfinished and fileworked and has a abalone pearl inset. The button stands out like a jewel against the brushed, blue background of the frame.
Everything on the knife is titanium. The frame, the liners, the button, the screws all come together to form a simple, durable super-solid package. The thumbstuds for left and right handed manual operation are blued titanium as well. The liners are silver titanium and have been jeweled along the iner side.
This knife portrays the artistic value of minimalism and really is an art knife, albeit fully functional like any great art knife should be. Of course, it's not possible to capture how really great the automatic mechanism on this knife is or how it feels when it opens in your hand. The switch is powerful and the knife practically jumps out of the blade as it swings into place. If your wrist is loose, the force will take your hand with it. At the same time, the entire process is incredibly smooth. Everything locks into and out of position by the means of a liner lock setup. Opening manually requires no effort and it is possible to open the knife with out so much as a whisper.
